Chef Kristen Wins 2013 San Pellegrino Almost Famous Chef Nationals, March 2013
Sunday March 11th, 2013 Local personal vegan chef and Le Cordon Bleu student, Kristen Thibeault won of the S. Pellegrino Almost Famous Chef Competition. This is a very prestigious award and has high visibility throughout the culinary world.
Kristen competed with a vegan signature dish, and was the first vegan chef to win this coveted award
Kristen is now the official S. Pellegrino Almost Famous chef for 2013. She competed against over 250 other full time student chefs from prestigious gourmet cooking schools from around the country and Canada.
The national finals were held at the Culinary Institute of America at Greystone in St. Helena, California, in Napa Valley, where she competed against 9 other finalists. She was also awarded Peoples Choice award as 200 attendees chose her signature dish as their own favorite.
Kristen takes home the National Winner Title, a cash prize, a 12 month paid apprenticeship with a celebrity chef of her choice, and upcoming national media exposure.

After beating cancer in 2008 and 2009 she left the corporate marketing and PR world to pursue her dream of becoming a full time gourmet vegan chef. She currently cooks for her clients, and is working on many new exciting projects to come.
